Oz Resort – Returns, Refunds & Gift Purchases Policy

(Compliant with Australian Consumer Law)

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

At Oz Resort, we comply fully with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. These guarantees apply whether the item was purchased directly or received as a gift.

If a product you purchase from us has a major fault, you are entitled to choose a refund or replacement. If the fault is minor, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund, as required by law.


Faulty or defective items (including gifts)

You are entitled to a remedy if an item:

  • Is faulty or defective

  • Is unsafe

  • Is not of acceptable quality

  • Is not fit for its intended purpose

  • Does not match the description or sample shown

These rights apply equally to gift recipients.

Proof of purchase

We may request proof of purchase, such as:

  • Receipt

  • Order confirmation

  • Gift receipt

  • Bank statement

If you are a gift recipient and do not have a receipt, we will work with you to verify the purchase.


Change-of-mind returns (non-faulty items)

Australian Consumer Law does not require a refund or exchange for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect size or style

  • A gift not suitable or wanted

  • Sale items (unless faulty)

However, Oz Resort offers the following change-of-mind policy as a customer service gesture:

  • Returns accepted within 14 days of purchase

  • Item must be:

    • Unworn

    • Unwashed

    • With original tags attached

  • A store credit or exchange will be offered

  • Refunds are not provided for change-of-mind purchases

This policy applies to gift purchases as well.


Items not eligible for change-of-mind returns

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Swimwear with hygiene seal removed

  • Underwear

  • Earrings

  • Sale items marked “Final Sale”

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law if the item is faulty.


Sale items

Sale items are covered by Australian Consumer Law if they are faulty.
We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind on sale items.


Gift cards

  • Gift cards are valid for a minimum of 3 years from the date of purchase

  • Gift cards are not refundable

  • Any conditions or expiry details are clearly stated at purchase


What this policy does not limit

This policy does not exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you are entitled to under Australian Consumer Law.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Store Purchases

Items bought as Gifts are able to to be returned within 30 days of purchase, in their original condition, with tags attached.  We issue a Gift Certificate in return of the item.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items

  •  Products that have had tags removed have been worn or washed.
  • Garments where the packaging has been damaged that it would render the product unsaleable.
  • Sale items

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Return Product Shipping Cost:

We only bear return shipping costs If you got damaged or faulty products but if you want to exchange, or order by your mistake then you have to pay the actual shipping cost

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Late or Missing Refund:

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
